Larry Abramson, Auto School Wants to Extend Reach to China, NPR, May 27, 2008.
SUNY Morrisville State College is known for its car repair skills. Their program is unique because it uses hands-on techniques to train its students on fixing highly computerized vehicles. Morrisville hopes to team up with the city of Dalian, China to help the Chinese build a stronger automotive school. Morrisville wants to become more globally oriented by working with Dalian. Both groups want to exchange ideas and develop a relationship that will serve as a “vehicle for student exchange, for faculty exchange, [and] probably some technology transfer.”
