Report Finds that States Lag on School Innovation

According to a report card recently released by a coalition of organizations, states and districts need to reform the American education system to better provide flexibility, accountability, more capacity, and an environment that stimulates reform.

The report card evaluated relative education innovation, as defined by: leveraging new tools, talent, and management strategies to craft solutions that were not possible in an earlier era, suggesting that schools overall need a lesson in innovation.
